Compassionate

Personalized Psychiatric Care

You deserve psychiatric care that sees you as a whole person — not just a set of symptoms, and not just having medications prescribed without considering all possible treatments. You deserve non-judgmental and empathic care. I offer compassionate, thoughtful, and personalized care, taking the time to truly understand your unique story, challenges, and strengths. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach here — just support that’s tailored to you, every step of the way.

Timothy Lacy, M.D.

Patient-Centered Care

True mental wellness extends beyond just medication. While psychiatric medications can be life-changing, they are just one tool among many. My practice integrates traditional medication treatments along with nutritional and lifestyle interventions.  My mission is to help people achieve lasting well-being by treating the whole person—not just their symptoms. Whether through medication management, therapy, lifestyle adjustments, or innovative treatments, I collaborate with each patient to create a personalized path to healing.

My Journey

My journey in psychiatry began at Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where I earned my M.D. I then specialized in Psychiatry at University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, where I was Chief Resident. This path led me to over 34 years of experience in the field that included running residency programs and developing academic systems that integrate psychiatry, primary care, and neuroscience. I have been honored with numerous awards for my teaching and writing, and have over 90 peer-reviewed academic articles, book chapters, posters, abstracts and presentations.  As a certified Master Psychopharmacologist and an Assistant Clinical Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine, I stay at the forefront of psychiatric advancements to bring the best possible care to my patients.
